Questions about insurance for wedding photographers

Practical answers for a more useful conversation with a provider.

Does equipment insurance address missed photographs?

Equipment cover and professional liability serve different purposes. Ask specifically about failure to deliver, image loss and client allegations.

Are second shooters automatically insured?

Not necessarily. Explain whether they are employees or independent businesses and ask how both their own work and your contractual responsibility are treated.

Can I assume destination weddings are accepted?

Declare the destinations, travel and contract jurisdictions. Ask about equipment territory, professional liability and any local requirements before accepting the assignment.

Does sending an enquiry buy insurance?

No. It asks the network team to respond. Only a suitable provider can confirm an offer, acceptance and the effective insurance arrangement.

Can I enquire from Canada or the United States?

Choose your actual country and province, state or territory. Provider availability and eligibility depend on the market; sending an enquiry does not establish acceptance.

What should I leave out of the form?

Leave out medical records, government IDs, payment details and policy documents. Share general needs here; use a provider’s secure process if sensitive records are later required.
